President duo

President duo

Introductions

We are Kay-Li and Lotte, and you have most likely seen us during the weekly Winabar, or otherwise on campus. As the rising chairman duo of Pixel, it is our responsibility to take the helm and ensure everything runs smoothly. Our mission is twofold: to ensure that all tasks are completed correctly and to ensure that everyone feels valued within the team. In addition, we strive for strong representation of Wina at both LOKO and Scientica meetings, while also maintaining close ties with other circles and associations.

Kay-Li will take on the role of president and will mainly focus on external tasks. This includes representing the views of Wina students at LOKO and Scientica meetings. She will also lead internal meetings and ensure they run efficiently.

Lotte, on the other hand, will be more concerned with internal affairs. Her focus is on the well-being of all members of the team. She will provide support to the team and act as the point of contact where everyone can go for discussions.

Of course we form a duo together, as our title suggests. This means that we will support each other in our respective tasks to ensure a smooth process.

Greetings
Kay-Li and Lotte

Vision

First, we attach great importance to the well-being of all members within the presidency. That is why it is essential that there is a good atmosphere within the team. This means that there is room for making mistakes, but that they are also seen as learning moments for the future.

Next year we will also aim to better train new presidency members. We want to achieve this by restructuring the workshop during the presidency week and by regularly checking how the new members are doing and whether there is a need for additional clarification on certain aspects of the information.

In general, we want to strive for better cooperation between all functions, working groups and other parts within the presidency. We want to achieve this by organizing regular group chats with different functions that often need to work together, such as graphic design and communication. We also want to discuss the operation of the various functions more often during the presidency meetings, so that the entire presidency is aware of what all functions are doing, especially those that do not organize many activities.

Secretary

Secretary

Introductions

Hey! Hello everyone, I am the secretary of the Pixel team! My job includes keeping track of the administrative side of the team. This is mainly reflected in taking minutes of meetings and ensuring that these reports appear neatly online, where they can be consulted by anyone who wants to. For the rest, I help the Presesduo with some of their tasks, so that everything can run smoothly and orderly!

Vegetables,
Sander

Vision

As secretary, I strive to ensure that everyone can be informed of what is discussed in the meetings through the reports. That is why I will try to put reports online as representative, complete and as quickly as possible. At the same time, I would like to put extra effort into the conciseness and readability of the reports. This is done by dropping irrelevant details so that it becomes more attractive to read the reports. I will inform the team in a timely manner of the location and date before each meeting, and will follow up on action points more actively between meetings. Finally, as secretary, I would like to assist the president duo more closely, so that I can take some of the previously administrative tasks off their shoulders.

Cantus trio

Cantus trio

Introductions

(the following is a translated song and unfortunately doens't make a lot of sense in English)
Bas Van Nunen soothes the cantus
So calm and so collected
Bas Van Nunen punishes the cantus
So strict and so fair
Bas Van Nunen hits his gavel
To chase away the chaos
Hooray for the commilito hurray!

Oh, I'm tired and I don't cry, I'm tired and I don't grieve,
The cantus trio is back!

Hardwin Voorspoels controls the shafts
So tough and so resolute
Hardwin Voorspoels guides the shafts
So alert and enterprising
Hardwin Voorspoels who will swear
To learn the shafts
Hooray for the shaft box, hurray!

Miet De Peuter leads the cantus
So enjoyable and full of fun
Miet De Peuter forms the cantus
So full of nonsense and nonsense
Miet De Peuter raises her voice
To sing without brakes
Hooray for the commilito hurray!

Vision

We would like to organize a Wina-worthy cantus for Winezen and sympathizers every two weeks next year. We cherish the current song knowledge, but will also expand it by learning a new song and highlighting unknown songs. Of course, atmosphere and conviviality remain paramount! In this way we hope to keep it interesting for both newcomers and experienced cantus goers.

Our upcoming shaft master guarantees to pass on our passion for cantuses to the next generation in a well-stocked shaft box. We are also putting our heads together to improve the organization of the shaft week.

We continue to focus on maintaining a good relationship with the sexton, so that we can continue to use Pavo for a long time to come. We will also continue our active participation in the advisory boards of the Leuven Liedboek. Finally, we would like to narrow our inter-circle relationships by providing some duocantus.

Management

Management

Introductions

Heyhey, we are the administrators of Pixel! Behind every great activity that the team organizes are a lot of transactions and purchases. This is where we come in, we distribute and manage all the team's finances. To this end, we closely monitor the team's income and expenses. By keeping the account in order, creating cash registers and drawing up budgets, we ensure that all Pixel's financial matters run smoothly. In short, we support every activity so that we as a team can make the best of it possible!

Vision

As management, we want to ensure that Wina's finances run smoothly. We also want to focus strongly on clear communication, both with the rest of the team for transparency and within the management duo. We want to maintain good cooperation, especially with postal materials, to ensure that surpluses are reused. We will also keep a close eye on the presidency accounts and frequently report how much is in them so that the team has a good overview of this. In addition, we will count and prepare cash registers on time, as well as pay invoices promptly.

Bar

Bar

Introductions

Ready for the ultimate Wednesday evening experience? Welcome to the Winabar! 🎉

Every week we transform the RC into the place to be for an evening full of fun, good vibes and unforgettable memories. Expect a diverse range of sing-alongs, dance numbers, big discs and much more; (soft) drinks that are kind to your wallet, and a cozy atmosphere that you want to dive into immediately.

Whether you come to shake on the dance floor, chill with friends, or simply leave the stress of the week behind, the Winabar has something for everyone.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your friends, put on your dancing shoes and come along to the RC for an evening you won't regret. We'll see you there during campaign week!

Greetings from the fantastic bar team at Pixel!
Andries, Aron, Arthur, Briek, Caitlin, Cyriel, Hardwin, Joakim, Jonas, Leandro, Lotte, Louis, Malin, Mara, Ragne, Sophie, Stijn, Wannes

Vision

We strive to continue our current improvements and at the same time continue to innovate. We want to focus again on good themes and develop them well using good promos, nice decoration and appropriate music. We would also like to continue to preserve the Winas atmosphere, taking the public into account. This means you can definitely expect our classics like the Connemara, Piano Man and a wide range of EJW dances, but without scaring away non-Winafolk with an excess of EJW dances at inappropriate times. We will continue to rely on our fantastic bar staff by encouraging them to tap at least once a term and retain the option to stop earlier when it becomes less busy.

In addition, we will focus on familiarizing our bar team with running a Winabar as quickly as possible. This way everyone will be able to control the music, tap good beers and connect a keg. In addition, we will encourage our bar team to take a first aid course so that they are prepared for any situation. To ensure that our visitors always feel safe and comfortable, we will deploy stewards at busy bars.

We will also become more active on social media to better promote our events.

We also want to be critical of our bars, adapting opening hours and the development of themes to the needs and number of visitors. We don't have to stay open until the early hours at all costs when there are only a handful of people, and we will adapt our range and the atmosphere of the bar to the context.

Finally, we will distribute our budget better over the year, paying attention to a varied range of promotions and drinks, including more non-alcoholic alternatives and - on request - CIDER.

BR

BR

Introductions

Hello all,

We are business relations (BR for friends). We will ensure that you can come into contact with various companies that may be of interest to students of physics, mathematics and computer science. We achieve this by finding companies that want to sponsor us. In this way, students come into contact with these companies and we receive money to ensure a successful operating year.

Vision

A successful BR succeeds in entering into strong partnerships and maintaining them well, paying attention to the internal functioning of our presidium and the questions of our partners. In addition, it is essential to organize high-quality activities that connect Wina students with the business community. Finally, it is important to give future generations the means to successfully participate in BR in the future.

To make business relationships even more efficient next year, we want to contact our partners early in the year, so that we have consolidated the most important partnerships before the start of the academic year. We also want to meet sufficiently throughout the year and track our progress on Odoo and in a document where we keep track of which services our partners are still owed. We also want to continue to focus on the networking evening. Finally, the BR wiki could also use a makeover to improve its internal functioning.

Communication

Communication

Introductions

Hey, we are communications! Our team consists of word magicians, emoji experts and hashtag masters who ensure that you know everything about our activities and activities. We use Facebook, Instagram and Quivr, but also our own fantastic Winagenda! Every week we try to put interesting articles in the Winagenda so that you (hopefully) read it with enthusiasm.

Moreover, we ensure that the perfect moment is captured for every activity. This way we ensure that you and your friends have many fun memories to look back on. These photos will also appear on our site and we may share a snapshot on our social media.

As icing on the cake, we also provide quality apparel, with quotes chosen by the members. You can purchase these t-shirts at the registration stand.

We provide every post, Winagenda and photo with a good dose of enthusiasm and a wink! We hope to entertain you, inspire you one like and thumb at a time!

Many kind regards
Arwen, Cisse, Harman, Héloïse, Jorrit, Louis and Simeon

Vision

This year we want to make communication more of a team. We want everyone to play an important role, transforming individual tasks into a joint effort. In addition, we want to make the Winagenda template more stable internally and guarantee that it remains easy to use. The graphic design of the Winagenda is also on our list to review. This way the Winagenda will remain fun to read and watch.

We are responsible for communication with all members, but would like to improve targeted communication with specific target groups. We also want to optimize communication to other posts; this by answering emails more efficiently. Changes to activities sometimes happen last minute, we want to communicate these to the members more quickly.

Finally, we plan to increase our social media presence by sharing interesting, valuable and just plain fun content.

CuDi (course service)

CuDi (course service)

Introductions

Hey,

We are the Course Service. We are responsible for the courses and books of all our students. We therefore ensure that the sale of this material runs smoothly and that every student gets what they need. These are always great and super fun shifts.

We are looking forward to making sure everything runs smoothly. Hopefully see you soon in the 200L 00.03!

Laura, Wannes, Leandro, Mathias, Lander, Stijn, Lotte, Farah, Chirawat

Vision

We would like to ensure that everything is in order not only for the first-year students, but also for the senior students. We will do this by asking all professors at the end of the academic year, in the last lesson, whether they will still be teaching next year and whether they will use the same material. This allows us to put this aside and will hopefully lead to the material being available in the Course Service. We will also rewrite the 'How To' and ensure that more and clearer information is available. The new members of CuDi will also be changing shifts this semester, so that they can already do this and can therefore start immediately next academic year without too much explanation. Finally, we also hope to improve the CuDi by working together with CuDi Scientica.

Culture

Culture

Introductions

Greetings

We at Culture want to be a connection between Leuven students and culture. We do this by organizing various activities, such as the Spring Concert, the Culture Trip, a Cheese, Beer and Wine Evening and the like. With Culture we also focus on a different demographic than most other items: the melomaniac added value seekers, who find less to their liking in other activities. To attract these people more, we also want to organize more accessible activities this year, such as visiting a concert or exhibition as a group. We also want to provide an overview of future cultural activities in the vicinity of Leuven in the Win Agenda, via the Possibly Cultural section.

See you on our first activity!
Brecht, Joakim, Marlo, Mathias, Rune and Simeon

Vision

Tene quod bene and improving what can be improved, this is the vision of Culture. We want to once again organize various cultural activities that bring Leuven students into contact with culture. In terms of major activities, we want to organize another culture trip during the lesson-free week and a spring concert at the end of April/beginning of May. As smaller activities, we would like to bring back classics such as the Cheese, Beer and Wine Evening, supplemented with new activities. We also want to organize some accessible activities, such as attending an exhibition or a concert as a group. As an innovative point this year, we also want to bring back an activity from the old box: the Culture Bar — an analogue of the Sports Bar, but with the item Culture instead of Sports. We also want to guarantee that we provide clear and clear internal and external communication.

EJW

EJW

Introductions

HELLO!

We are EJW, which stands for first year work . We organize EJWiekent, where first-year students can get to know each other before the academic year starts. During the first two weeks (but also during the rest of the year) we organize an activity every day, where first-year students can really get acquainted with life in Leuven. We organize games evenings, a dinner at the alma, a quiz and so on. We are also often present at other wina activities so that we can properly welcome first-year students. We help with the faculty's starter days and are always open to any questions a first-year student may have!

We are really looking forward to having a great time with first-year students next year and giving them an unforgettable first year.

Greetings,
EJW

Vision

With EJW we will again organize super cool activities next year so that first-year students can get to know life and studying in Leuven. We will try to keep these activities as accessible as possible so that it is easy to get to know the ins and outs of the university. In addition, we will also be open to questions that first-year students may have about anything and everything. Being present at other wina activities (winabar, cantus, but also others) remains a priority.

What we will definitely be working on next year is more of an internal thing. Because many activities take place at the beginning of the year and involve a lot of work, it often happens that material lists or budgets are submitted a little late, so we will try to work on making these good, complete and on time so that this does not overwhelm the work of other presidency members.

GAK (Big Activities and Small)

GAK (Big Activities and Small)

Introductions

Hey!

Welcome to GAK, the post for Big Activities and Small. The name says it all: we combine larger-scale festivities with smaller GAK activities. Whether you are a seasoned quiz master, a foodie who enjoys food stands, or are just looking for a fun games evening, you will find it all with us.

GAKtivities bring Wina students together, regardless of study, age or experience. We believe diversity is our strength, and everyone is welcome to join us! GAK activities are not only a chance to have fun, but also to meet new friends. Who knows, you might discover a fellow student with the same passion for singing during a karaoke evening or an adventurous Wine woman who will strengthen your team in a laser shoot battle.

Whether you are a freshman or a seasoned Wina veteran, everyone is welcome at our GAK activities. Let's create an unforgettable year together!

See you at our first GAKtivity!

Lots of love from you GAK'ers
Caitlin, Flore, Jonas, Malin, Mathieu, Ragne, Sander, Steve, Stijn and Warre

Vision

It's time to look to the future! At GAK we strive to be even better next year, with a keen eye for efficiency, sustainability and creativity. Here are our key points:

  1. Smarter purchasing, less loss: We want to estimate our quantities more accurately, so that we sell out more often and therefore have fewer surpluses. This means that we will look critically at the budgets for activities and budget for less rather than more.
  2. Less waste, more reuse: Let's discover the treasures in our cellar! By reusing existing supplies and foods, we reduce waste and contribute to a more sustainable future. Who knows what hidden treasures we can still find?
  3. Original activities: Creativity is central. We want to organize new, surprising activities that inspire and involve our members. Think of unusual workshops and out-of-the-box ideas. Together we make every GAK activity a unique experience!
  4. Sustainability as a guideline: Although we are aware of the challenges, we want to continue to focus on sustainability. This can range from using reusable materials to promoting eco-friendly habits during our events. Let's take steps together towards a greener world.
  5. Small but nice: In addition to our familiar large food stands, we also want to introduce smaller, cozy food stands. Think of food stands with delicious croques, hot chocolate or tasty hot dogs. This does not require large tents or large numbers of shifters, but the result is a nice food stand that everyone can come to.

International

International

Introductions

We continue to focus on integration between local and international students. We can do this by promoting the activities internationally through Wina's social media and website, so that more local students come to our activities. On the other hand, we want to continue to promote Wina's activities to internationals so that they also come to Wina's activities.

We also want to continue organizing a large number of activities. Last year this was approximately 10 per semester and we want to continue this. Some of these are large activities, but we also want to focus on small-scale, accessible activities such as karaoke, game nights or walks. These activities attract people who do not come to other activities and they are also easy for us to organize, which means we can organize more activities.

We also want to focus on improving communication with international students. There is a WhatsApp group with all international students in Scientica in which questions can be asked and activities can be announced. This is where International's activities are promoted and also some of Wina's activities, but we would like to do this in a more consistent way.

Vision

Our organization is open to a world of diversity. We not only support individuals from all over the world who want to start their academic journey here, but are also a haven for locals who dream of studying abroad.

For newcomers to Leuven, the adjustment can be a challenge. That is why we offer support during the Orientation Days at the beginning of each semester. We also promote the buddy program, where every newcomer is linked to a local buddy with whom they can do fun things. That buddy can then help them with questions. During the year we organize various activities for international students, such as city trips, game nights, cantuses and much more, to which local students are also welcome. Furthermore, we encourage their participation in Wina activities to connect with the local student community. We are also available for local students who plan to study abroad. During Go Global Week we provide them with the necessary information to prepare for this limitless experience.

We look forward to a year full of cultural exchanges!

Material

Material

Introductions

Hi,

We are Héloïse, Brecht, Siebe, Ragne, Marlo and Jasper and we wish to stand up as Material within Wina.

Material is a item with a supporting range of tasks. We maintain the Wina material that we deliver to the posts. We manage the WinaLiving that anyone can rent, this is even free for Wina members. You can always contact us for lost items. Our goal is that all management of Wina goods runs smoothly.

We not only take care of internal communication regarding material within the presidency, but also provide an external lending service. Anyone, member or non-member, can come and borrow material from us.

In addition to this 'lending service', the order of the Winaliving and the cellar in the Yellow House also fall within our range of tasks. An orderly workshop ensures efficient work and we hope to provide a good foundation for the rest of the presidency.

Vision

With regard to materials, we would like to focus on being more visible to the circle this year. To achieve this, we wish to promote our activities well and be extra responsive with our mailbox. Renting from Wina will never have been so pleasant!

We also want to do our utmost to manage Wina's stock properly: we want to keep better track of what is available and use these surpluses with the team. This way Wina will save money, so there is more left over for fun activities!

Ultimately, we want to continue last year's guidelines. We will ensure that all areas of Wina, the living room and the Wina cellar, remain clean and orderly. This way, Wina's material always remains usable and available. Last but not least, we want to continue to fulfill our role as a supporting post for Wina with fun and pride.

We look forward to this coming year!

Staff

Staff

Introductions

Hello everyone! We are the employees, the backbone of the team! All other posts like to organize activities left and right, but for these activities to become reality, they of course need a whole bunch of shifts. Our job is then to fill in these shifts and lead the activity to a successful conclusion! We do this with good courage and a lot of enthusiasm!

Greetings,
The employees
Imke, Rulke, Sander, Vincent

Vision

Our vision as employees is very simple: many shifts. Of course we want to do this in the coolest way possible. The employee team building at the beginning of the year will certainly be present again. The employee manager will also personally guide employees if they have difficulty with shifts, in order to prevent employees from slowly becoming inactive throughout the year. Finally, we would certainly continue to scout throughout the operating year for employees who we can co-opt, so that our team can continue to grow.

Web team

Web team

Introductions

Hey Hey! We are Webteam, and we are responsible for Wina's technical infrastructure, such as the website and the mail server. In this way, we ensure from the background that the rest of the presidency can function properly. We also sometimes play a more active role, for example by providing the counting system for the 24-hour run or hosting the Wina Minecraft server.

We can regularly be found in the foyer of the A, so if you see us there, please say hello!

Worm greetings
Web team

Vision

Webteam is first and foremost a team. Unfortunately, many systems are never explained to new web teamers, which means we cannot work as efficiently as a team. That is why this year we want to focus much more on learning and sharing information so that every web teamer becomes an indispensable part of the group.

To achieve this, in addition to normal maintenance tasks, we will mainly focus on further documenting and mapping all current systems. We also want to rewrite the scripts, so that there is less need for prior knowledge and everything can run more smoothly. This way, the web team can get started more quickly in the future and the focus can be placed again on innovation and expansion of the current infrastructure.
